The 135th Canton Fair Phase 2 was successfully held from April 23 to 27.

The number of overseas buyers in attendance continued to grow, making the event highly popular and bustling. As of April 27, a total of 191,928 overseas buyers from 214 countries and regions participated in the fair, representing a 22.1% increase compared to the same period of the previous session. Among them, there were 124,342 buyers from countries involved in the "Belt and Road" initiative, accounting for 64.8%; 46,663 buyers from RCEP countries, accounting for 24.3%; and 38,864 buyers from Europe and America, accounting for 20.2%.

Design innovation and eco-friendly, low-carbon products were the highlights of the fair. The second phase featured 9,820 offline exhibiting companies, an increase of 300 compared to the previous session. Companies showed more emphasis on using new technologies to transform and upgrade traditional industries, as well as improving the "innovation content" and "green content" of daily consumer products. The fair showcased a plethora of innovative, high-quality, and low-carbon products, becoming a new calling card for expanding China's presence in the international market.

The online platform underwent a digital upgrade to empower the offline exhibition. The enhanced online platform provided convenient services for buyers, allowing them to search for information in advance, schedule offline negotiations, and explore more business opportunities. As of April 27, participating companies had uploaded over 2.5 million exhibits, and their online stores had received a total of 2.99 million visits. The online event attracted 8 million visitors, with overseas visitors accounting for 89%. The number of online attendees from 229 countries and regions, including ASEAN, RCEP, and BRICS countries, experienced significant growth.
